Alojamiento Namuwoki

Very nice location out of town and a short walk to a local beach. Supermarket and a range of restaurants nearby. Wonderful friendly and helpful staff, but facilities are quite basic with a very small pool, but then this is a base hotel for touring, not a resort. Comfortable room and mostly quiet, and you feel you are in the rainforest, although for our room there was human noise during the day from an adjacent property, which was a shame and I mark down from 4 to 3. When quiet, it was beautiful and relaxing to sit out and watch the wildlife on the property. We ate at the restaurant one evening and very good food. Breakfast is very basic and the restaurant is too small as when large groups are in, you have to wait. A nice, basic relaxed lodge, and we enjoyed our few days' stay before moving on.

This lodge is absolutely beautiful and has everything we needed. Breakfast was fantastic and we enjoyed watching capuchin monkeys and agoutis from our patio. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, and everything was spotless. Highly recommended.

Had a wonderful stay here while travelling through Costa Rica. The setting is wonderful, plenty of wildlife just outside the door. We were very well looked after by the staff, nice food in the little restaurant and lovely cocktails. We celebrated our daughter’s birthday while we were staying here, and a big shout out to Brianna, who went to special effort to make it such a lovely evening for us.

We loved this hotel. A small resort with nice chalets and great staff. There is a small pool and pool bar. The beach over the road is just beautiful and deserted - we had a lovely time swimming in the warm water. We hired bikes and cycled into town to look at the shops and bars and in the evening we got a tuk tuk to take us down there for a meal. We also ate in the restaurant which had a great menu

A delightful place surrounded by thick vegetation and wild life. Simple basic room, that was clean. Good aircon and a fridge. Generous verandah with a rather high hammock , 2 chairs would have been useful. Lots of wildlife and early morning calls from the Howler monkeys. Food was excellent and the staff really efficient head working and helpful. The dining area overlooks the small pool and is lively. Perhaps the only slight negative comment is the rooms are quite dark and there is a wide platform wooden rim around the bed which we kept hitting. Bed ok but could do with a better quality mattress

I stayed at Namuwoki Lodge for 6 nights and absolutely loved it. The bungalow I was staying in (nr. 12) has the most amazing and very private veranda. Wood, very very large, with curtains on 3 sides and a lovely bench. Sitting there in the evening, reading a book and enjoying the warm but not too hot weather and the tranquility (when the very noisy neighbours in the place next to Namuwoki were not there), that was really perfect and for me the definition of amazing. The room itself was also very nice and comfortable. On one window, the "lock" was brocken, and I think it should be fixed to add for security. This would only take a minute, and I cant really understand why it hasnt been fixed. This and the carpet around the pool are the only reasons why I am not giving 5 stars. There is a small pool, which is very nice. But as already mentionned, surrounded by a carpet, which is something I really hate. The restaurant where I had breakfast is small and nice. Staff is very friendly and there are several choices for breakfast. Its tasty, but not very special and gets a bit boring after a few days. Staff at reception was also very friendly. The lodge is about 6km away from Puerto Viejo and about 400m from a beach (to wade in, but not to swim in). There is a supermarket on the road next to the lodge, and you can get a TukTuk for 3000 Colones to go to Puerto Viejo.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit großer Terrasse, ca. 5 Minuten vom traumhaften Karibikstrand entfernt. Sehr stilvoll und geräumig eingerichtet, zwei Schlafzimmer, sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, mit einem sehr gutem, kleinen Restaurant

Etwas abseits der Hauptstrasse (Ruhe!!) traumhaft inmitten von Bäumen, die von Brüllaffen bewohnt werden (da braucht man keinen Wecker am Morgen!) gelegen. Suiten mit geräumigen Schlafzimmern, Dusche, Küche und Ankleideraum. Privates Jacuzzi!. Nachtessen sehr gut, reichlich zu einem fairen, günstigen Preis.

Un lodge vraiment bien tenu, des bungalows à la fois rustiques et parfaitement équipés pour le confort des voyageurs (frigo, airco, veranda avec hamac). La supérette du coin, à 100 m, est très bien achalandée (notamment pour les voyageurs soucieux de leur ligne et de leur santé . L'accès à la plage se fait par un chemin fleuri, à maximum 10 minutes à pied. Il s'agit d'une plage fréquentée par les locaux, charmante (attention, les chiens sont admis), où vous pourrez assister à des parties de foot animées. Le restaurant du lodge, à côté de la piscine, est vraiment à recommander, on y trouve un vaste choix pour tous les goûts...et tout en savourant votre repas vous pourrez observer les nombreux singes et agoutis qui peuplent le jardin. Massages à prix raisonnable. Encore un plus, le lodge se situe entre les réserves de Cahuita et Manzanillo, à 5km de Puerto Vejo pour ceux qui veulent éviter le côté 'attrape-touristes- de ce petit centre
